Middle Fork Kitchen Bar
Another great place on the Pepper Campus is Middle Fork Kitchen Bar. Former client of the Kentucky Home Team and Chef Mark Jensen has created a comfortable take on traditional dishes. The restaurant space is equally as unique as the food, with few walls and a visible open kitchen so patrons can watch the chefs. The staff has created a wonderful sense of transparency.

The name Middle Fork Kitchen Bar is an ode to the Elkhorn River, the middle fork of the Elkhorn to be exact (known as the town branch in Lexington). The town branch was what Lexington was originally founded on back in 1775.
Some of Kentucky Home Team’s favorite dishes are the bakwan (fried julienned vegetables, tempura batter, pnozu), the brushetta (fire-grilled garlic bread, melted and crumbled blue cheese, apricots, walnuts, daikon, balsamic-beet glaze, bacon and cilantro), and the bubble and squeak (mashed potatoes, fire roasted vegetables and butter).
A crowd favorite is the unique take on the PB&J, which is on a fire-grilled baguette, ginger peanut sauce, lime-orange jam, cilantro leaves, red onion pickles, and chilies.

The atmosphere is a wonderful place for a date or a night out with friends, with a robust selection of wine, beer and spirits. The lighting is low and romantic. We would highly recommend a stop at Middle Fork Kitchen Bar! Tell Mark Jensen that the Kentucky Home Team sent you!
